The production expansion currently underway at SIA means our plant must expand too—and fast! Therefore, the following positions are available RIGHT NOW for qualified applicants.

2nd Shift Seat Assembly 

$18.73/hr. (starting)  $22.86/hr (after 48 months)

Great position for those with a strong work record and previous assembly experience. Candidates will work on a fast-paced, just-in-time manufacturing line and must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be available to work any shift, plus overtime. Starting pay is $18.73 an hour, increasing to $22.86 an hour after 48 months.

2nd shift premium  included $1.00/hour

PLC Controls Engineer

Pay Wage: $25-$28/ depending on experience

NHK Seating of America, Inc. is owned by NHK Spring of Japan. The Frankfort plant supports an Automotive company in Lafayette. We supply the seats in a fast-paced, Just-In-Time environment. Manufacturing Engineers design, implement, and improve assembly processes for seat manufacturing. You will work with a highly motivated cross-functional team and deliver turnkey solutions to enable seat production at rate. NHK Seating of America is an Automotive parts supplier located in Frankfort, Indiana seeking qualified individual for a PLC Controls Engineer position with growth potential.

Pay Wage: $25-$28/ depending on experience

  • Responsibilities and Skills

Responsible for improving and maintaining manufacturing equipment

  • Implement and develop design for PLC and Control Logix programming, Servos, VFD and Hardware, HMI
  • Review and maintain systems and identify improvements in the design incorporating trends
  • Test Program operation to verify it remains functional
  • Communicate with clients to address their concerns, troubleshoot and identify solutions to problems.
  • Design new assembly equipment
  • Help plan and coordinate manufacturing processes in the plant by developing, evaluating and improving manufacturing methods
  • Analyze and Plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow and design layout of equipment, etc
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Leadership skills, problem-solving skills and team-work skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • All other duties assigned
